Adam HolingsheadAdam Hollingshead is a senior History/English major, and an Honors student.

What are your plans after graduation?

Grad School

When will you graduate (best guess!)?


Where did you go to grow up and where did you go to high school (and/or other colleges)?

I grew up in Jackson Ohio, and attended Jackson High School

Did you grow up with siblings or pets?

I have one brother and two sisters, and we’ve always had at least one dog.

What was your best experience in high school?

The school production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Who was your most influential high school teacher?

The Choir Director, the late Mr. Chris Bullion

Why did you choose Rio?

My brother and sister-in-law told me to go, and I said, “Okay.”

What’s your best experience at Rio so far?

The Shakespeare Festival in Canada.

What’s your greatest achievement as a student?

This I suppose, I never really thought about it.

What’s your major?


Why did you choose that major?

I’ve had a great passion for three things in my life: History, Literature, and Music, and I wanted to keep music a hobby.

What’s your class rank (Freshman, sophomore, etc.)


What was your favorite course at Rio so far…and why?  

I don’t know, I like different courses for different reasons, but I don’t have a favorite.

What do you plan to do after graduation? Where do you see yourself in ten years?

I plan on going to Grad School. I don’t look that far ahead, I hope it’s somewhere nice.

What advice would you give to incoming Freshmen?

Figure out who you want to be and be that person.

I spend my summers gardening, landscaping, and clearing trees.
