Biography | Linda Sigismondi has been working at the University of Rio Grande since 1991. She primarily teaches courses in Environmental Science, Biology 2, Genetics and Senior Research. She also teaches courses in Lab Management, Environmental Policy, Environmental Practicum and Environmental Internship. Outside of teaching, Linda Sigismondi is involved with community theater, puppetry, folk music (mountain dulcimer, Native American flute) and bicycling. |

Research Interests | Dr. Sigismondi is interested in working with students wishing to do scientific research with an environmental focus. Interested students should contact her. Examples of recent Student Projects: -Abundance and Distribution of Aquatic Turtles -Steam Ecomonitoring of Macrointertebrates Previous Projects -Antibacterial and antihelminthic effects of herbals -Concentrations of heavy metals in teas of different qualities |
