Biography | I was born and raised in Portsmouth, Ohio. I graduated from Clay High School in 2004. I participated in three varsity sports while at Clay High: soccer, baseball, and basketball. After high school, I accepted an athletic scholarship to play soccer at Urbana University. I played three years at Urbana University before becoming an Assistant Coach for the Men’s JV Soccer team during my senior year. I graduated during the Spring of 2009 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. After college I was hired on as a Staff Auditor at BHS, CPAs. This was a great learning experience and development of my analytic skills. In the Fall of 2012, I decided to make a big life change and moved to Southern California where I would live for the next 6 years. I started working for Wal-Mart as an Assistant Manager and would aid in opening new Wal-Mart stores in the area near Los Angeles. Before the end of my first year in California, another opportunity presented itself to me and I started working for The Art Institutes in Financial Aid. Working for a commercial arts school was a great experience to learn how the higher education system functions as well as getting to see how the entertainment world is developed. From audio production to video game production and even culinary arts; those are just a few degrees offered that I never dreamed about when growing up in a small town. After making the transition back to Ohio I look forward to putting my experience and knowledge to good use to help the students of Rio Grande! |
Interests
Interests | I enjoy being outdoors. I’ve had the opportunity to travel from California up to Wyoming to hike and camp. To see the beautiful landscapes and wildlife is something that I live for! I love to fish and enjoy the minimalist way of life. When I’m not outdoors, I love to spend time with my two sisters, mother, father, and three dogs! I also like lift weights and work hard getting stronger. Oh, and cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers is a must! |
