This course involves an examination of various moral issues (e.g. relativism vs. absolutism), concepts (e.g. duties, rights, values, principles, etc.), ethical theories (e.g. utilitarianism, natural law, divine law theories, Kantian ethics, etc), and evaluation of contemporary moral issues, such as sexual ethics, environmental ethics, genetics and ethics, euthanasia and abortion, justice and inequality, and animal rights.
