An introduction to probability and statistics. Topics include: organizing data, graphical presentations of data, measures of central tendency and dispersion, relative standing, normal curve theory, elementary probability, correlation and simple regression, chi-square, and hypothesis testing of means for one and two samples. Mathematics credit is not given for both MTH 21404 and MTH 21803. Prerequisite: A grade of C or better in MTH 11203 or equivalent skill level as indicated by the score on the placement exam. May not be used as mathematics elective. Course fee required.
