September 11th Statement 2018

As we pause today to remember the founding of Rio, let us not forget what happened seventeen years ago today at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and Shanksville. In regards to that day, may we as a people and a nation NEVER FORGET the sacrifices of Americans aboard Flight 93, the pure evil of the Islamist terrorists who committed these horrific acts, the valor of those in law enforcement and emergency services who rushed into tragedy to save lives, our military personnel who stand ever vigilant to protect our country, the anguish of those who lost a loved one that day and the nearly three thousand victims of the attacks who never saw the sun rise on September 12, 2001.
