Transfer Credit Policies
Students who have attended another college can be admitted, providing a transcript of all college or university credits and high school transcript, along with a completed application, are submitted. If approved English and/or mathematics courses have not been completed prior to enrollment to Rio Grande, transfer students must follow the course placement procedures. Students holding an associate or bachelor degree are not required to submit a high school transcript.
For more information regarding the transfer of credits from other colleges/universities, military experience, external testing programs such as CLEP (College Level Examination Program), or the transfer of associate degrees, see Transfer Credit Policies.

An Admissions representative will guide you on a tour of our beautiful campus, assist you with any paperwork needed to complete the application process, and set up appointments with a coach or faculty member to discuss programs you may be of interest.

Rio Grande and the Surrounding Area
Rio Grande is located in southeastern Ohio along US Route 35, 100 miles southeast of Columbus via Rts. 23 and 35; 120 miles east of Cincinnati via Rts. 32 and 35; 250 miles south of Cleveland, via Rts. 77, 7, and 35; and 60 miles north of Huntington, WV via Rts. 7 and 35.
A safe and beautiful area with charm and appeal, Rio Grande is small enough for students to feel a sense of belonging to the community. The campus includes acres of rolling lawns, expansive athletic fields and attractive facilities.
